Sleeve Tattoo Removal
Whether you are looking for full sleeve tattoo removal or half sleeve tattoo removal, you may be wondering what the removal process is like, how many sessions it will take, and what results you can expect. Today we will aim to provide more clarity on these thoughts so that you are able to fully consider the decision to remove you tattoo sleeve. This process should be considered as carefully as your initial decision to get the tattoo, as it requires a commitment to the process in order to see the best results.
How Long Does it Take to Remove a Tattoo?
It would be realistic to expect instant results even with a smaller tattoo, so it is important to understand that with tattoo sleeve removal, you are going to have to commit to a number of sessions. You will get a better idea of an exact amount of sessions from your initial consultation, offering a bespoke service to meet your needs. As well as the size of the tattoo, the number of sessions it takes will also depend on your skin type, how long the tattoo has been there, and the ink colours used in the tattoos. Lighter colours tend to require less sessions, and tattoos that are older will generally be easier to remove as they fade over time. The full and half sleeve tattoo removal cost will depend on the number of sessions you require.
What Results Can You Expect?
If you’re wondering what results you can expect from tattoo sleeve removal, before and after photographs of tattoo removal can be seen on our gallery page. You can choose to remove the tattoo ink from the sleeve as much as possible, or you can fade it with a view to cover it with new tattoos. For this second option, you will need to make sure you wait a significant amount of time for the skin to heal before you tattoo over the area. It is important to be aware from the onset that although we use the most powerful lasers to remove sleeve tattoos, that the results will not be immediate. The technology works by breaking down the ink particles into smaller particles that are able to be removed from the body using its own natural processes. Initially you may experience symptoms such as redness, swelling, pain or tenderness, which should disappear within a few days or weeks. As the whole process takes time, it is necessary to wait between four to six weeks between each sleeve removal session. Gradually, you will see your sleeve tattoo fade before your eyes, until eventually your old tattoo will be totally unnoticeable.
